Title: Painting a chrome frame
Post by: Superkav on May 03, 2006, 02:15 PM
I got me a nice Raleigh Tange Aero pro frame and forks but the chrome is dull and I want to paint it. Do I have to strip the chrome or just rub it down to give it a key for primer then paint??

make sure the frame is clean and degreased then use an etch primer
followed by regular primer, then paint

or get it powdercoated

leave the chrome where it is
