I was wondering what you guys like and dislike in the world of oldschool bmx, for me personally bike wise I think Mongoose is at the top and Hutch at the bottom. I never saw the appeal of Hutch myself. Im not sure about anything else other than I didnt like Z rims and Sr stems on the burners. For me Tuffs just shout oldschool because they came out around that time and id seen nothing like that ever !!!! This is just my own opinion and not an attack on anyone lol :smitten:

I think most, if not all the quality stuff is nice from late 70's early 80's - race and freestyle. list is too long, but yeah skyway wheels I have a soft spot for as took me ages to save up to buy some bitd

What's there to hate about Hutch bikes and parts , they made some nice looking stuff :smitten:
They had a good team who worked hard touring the states :angel:

pretty much anything BMX, never used to like mid or new, wasn't my era, but feeling the vibe for both now.
I like `era correct' as a show piece, but love to see builds like we had them as kids, My DP (83) had parts from 82-95 on it! loved it!!
I also like lots of lager.
Dislikes
falling off, getting hurt, having my bikes nicked, not being able to ride, even just to get milk!
I also dislike not winning the lottery

I like pretty much anything BMX, but I have 3 things I don't like...
Redline's - SOOOO Ugly, hated them bitd, hate them still.
Skyway T/A's without Skyway Tuff wheels, what the fook are you doing? There is a big clue in the name SKYWAY, race bikes had Skyway wheels too.
MX1000's with different colour arms, uuuuurrrrggghhh.

All Hutch aren't daft money , I saw a complete Pro racer with tuffs at an old school meet last year for £250
and Pro raiders regularly go for that and less on US Ebay , they look pretty similar just shorter tt :)

I pretty much like all things old school BMX, really loved the casual clothes, the hip hop music and Mk1 Escorts :daumenhoch:
Some things annoy like the CW Layback Seatpost (WTF was that all about?), the geometry of the Raleigh Burner range, most bikes made by Townsend and Saxon (lookalikes not BMX bikes) and some of geyhay colours that appeared in the late 80's.
Hated the politics that befell BMX racing and then freestyle unfortunately for both genres politics interefered from right at the beginning ::) .

OOOOps a bit of fighting I didnt intend to start any fights :-[ I did start with just my opinions I didnt say Hutch were rubbish I said something along the lines that I didnt like them and couldnt understand the hype......I remember seeing some Hutch dust caps sell for £180 :shocked: Im also not keen on Haro's and the hype around them......Im not saying any oldschool bike is rubbish Im saying some I like some I dont.
As for my bouncing jugs avatar possibly the best avatar ever seen on this site :daumenhoch: It was removed by admin not me :-X

I dislike parts that have been poished to a mirror finish for the sake of making it shiny, especially parts that didn't have a mirror finish originally.
