Hi guys,
Been thinking of getting me some protection for the old knees but there seems quite a choice on the market. Not sure to go for just knee pads or combined knee / shin protection anyone got any suggestions on what's good and also comfortable out there. I will only using them for skate parcs at the mo not racing.

go for seperate knee and shin pads as they allow more movement and if u damage one its cheaper to replace
when choosing knee pads do u want a hard cap over the trouser types or soft cap under the trouser ones?
the under the trouser knee pads are good for small knocks and falls and are more comfatble, the hard cap over the trouser knee pads are a bit bulkier but if u have a heavy/long fall they will offer u more protection

Just started riding again after 25 years so experiencing quite a lot of falls at the moment, nothing major as I'm not exactly getting masses of air but the body ain't what it used to be, and at 45 it seems to damage muuch quicker! :LolLolLolLol:
So I'm thinking hard cap at the moment.

the best bet is the protec hard caps in the link as they are a bargin for £22

Agreed :daumenhoch:
Get yourself some nice big fat hard cup pads and wear em. You can make more decisions later on depending on how your riding comes along.

slipping a bit there , TwoBob, no helmet rant? :LolLolLolLol:

:LolLolLolLol:
And another thing!!!................... :angrysoapbox:

i got some with a hard cap that will fit under really unfashionable baggy jeans...but best with shorts. :)
and like twobob says wear em.....i have found out how useless they are sitting in your bag. lol.

Thanks guys for the info and don't worry i will be wearing them, already torn knee ligaments after ride @ Corby. :(
Apparently ligaments not as elastic when you get passed the old four O.
