Title: question for a Haro expert about bars - are they genuine or not?
Post by: griff on February 02, 2011, 02:32 PM
afternoon all

bought some haro freestyle bars the other day, which I received yesterday after having the powder stripped off them by SBD

Last night I was giving them a rub down with some brasso and after cleaning some of the grime off the end near the grips I noticed some writing which made me wonder if they were actually haro - if you lie the bars down on their front, the writing goes from bottom to top about an inch and a half from the end of the right side and says LEADTEC in capital letters..

Can anyone confirm 100% if these are genuine or not? They appear to have the right shape, welds and knurling (parallel to bars on both top & bottom bar) and they have good provenance (I got them from brettypeeps, who got them from robbo, who apparently got them from gashead) was just the word LEADTEC that caused concern as I'd never heard of them

Not doubting anyone's integrity at all, but need to know for sure, especially in case I ever have to sell these on for any reason

Thanks in advance for any help

cheers

griff

Haro had several suppliers over the years, LEADTEC was one of them.
I had some of those bars on a complete 87 FST which is highly suspected of being full original specs..

Got any pics ?

don't turn this into another thread about bumming - everyone knows it's not at all big OR clever (or funny in any way whatsoever)
btw if anyone needs any tingle lube for Creation meetup can probably get hold of some of the new sweet strawberry flavour - LMK
