Title: Lightest old school parts
Post by: Moza on February 04, 2011, 06:30 PM
Im building a loopy Ripper and fancy making it stupidly light, so far I have the frame and on the way are some alloy bars and a uni seat. What other parts would keep this very light ???

Pro Class wheels, DC 890 Brake, DC Tech 3 lever, Alloy Powerlite or Race Inc bars, 1.75 or 1.5 inch tyres, 1.5 inch inner tubes, KKT or Suntour Magnesium pedals, alloy 3pce cranks should all make for a light bike  :daumenhoch:

Got to be Pro Class wheels if you actually want to ride it and are not as slim as you were back in 1984!

Renthall bars were pretty damn light to I recall.

Galindo GX bars are bloody light, and in regards to tyres you will be hard pressed to find anything lighter than Michelin Hi Lites......all in all in would not make a huge weight difference though....
