i've been told there may been a chance that Runnymede track MAY be got up and running again, don't know how many of you may remember this track.
-
happy memories, one my best tracks, my best national result etc etc
<---- pic of the 2nd straight.
-
I think i raced there in the late 80s, on my Haro sport with a gyro and a front brake.
I crashed trying to jump the tripples at the end of the last straight. :crazy2:
-
Jon,i got this news from Daniel Sturgeon, remember him?
-
Yes but never knew him personally, never raced him so must have been a different age.
-
he was 1 year below you!

-
being honest Griff,i REALLY do want to pay a visit, would like to say real soon, but i suppose i should be realistic and say when the weather's better.(do Wargrave track as well)

-
i lived 10 miles from there.. never knew ! :buck2: :uglystupid2:
-
They are holding a regional race this year, Might try and get there before.
-
they deserve it....they've done wonders with the track.
-
I rode there in the early nineties it was pretty derelict back then hadnt seen a race in a long time i guess, good to hear its fixed up i might have to go and take a look!!
-
the runnymede track is very nicely done indeed, lucky to only live a few miles away,
they have recently resurfaced track and spent a lot of time and money by the looks of it,
well worth a look i would say, bit tricky to find, so what i do is park out the front of phillip south coat school KT15 2QH
then you go in side a park and thier it is,
