Having recently built an early Firebird and having had a freestyler bitd how rare are these becoming ?,The freestylers seem to come up regularly on Ebay and command good money but you rarely see any of the other earlier Dp,s become available...Not a great deal of info is online about these bikes and their history, It appears that Steves site holds most if not all the information around , Do any of you blokes still own one of these earlier examples?

This is why I built the dpfirebird web site, can't let this British BMX History fade away without a trace :Great_Britain:

So Steve, how many have you come across in the period that you have been involved, inparticular the delta model that I now have ..
-
lets say in the last 2 yearas I've only seen around 6 delta 2's and 10 firebirds
when I first got into them you could pick up most dp frames for a good price, race frames at around £70 + but since the site has been up they have started fetching more money. But then most old school bmx has gone up so...

Heres the Delta 2 as it stands ...

looking good, I had it built up on 20 x 1 3/8 wheels.
I was after a mk1 Delta2 for the web site, but one never came up.
I did think of keeping this one as a rider, black tuffs, cw's but I've now sold all the frames

Dont you miss having a firebird Steve?, after all the commitment you have given to the DP brand I'm surprised you didnt keep one as a rider??

It is a lovely Delta that mate :daumenhoch:
I would have put a straight seat post on it

Its too cramped with a straight post mate, I prefer the look but it isnt practical ..
