Title: raleigh chromo burner bit of work needed *PAINTED*

got this and it was butchered was passed on by about 4 people when they saw the work needed so here goes the start of a long job
so out came the grinder on the doner frame   ;)

the forks that some numpty had groung down to take 14mm axles :shock:

the bits groung out of some other raleigh forks  :oops: and placed in the big holes  8) ready for welding

now the same with the rear drop outs
this is going to take some time so i will keep you updated

stage 2 the welding by me   8) able to save the serial number as well

just need to file the tange design fork ends now for the little alloy top hat washer :cool:

Don't know about grinding them out for a 14mm axle it looks like you could have got a bloody car axle in there  :shocked:

yes mate its a lexus colour candy red over a white base coat   think its barcelona red  ;)

Time and effort well spent there Mark. The attention to detail, filing out the fork drops for a top hat, is amazing and looks the dogs  :daumenhoch:

As been said, many would have just scrapped it and a credit to the four owners for actually passing it on and not doing that.

The colour though, WOW........Awesome

Just got a Mk1 burner frame and forks myself. lets hope i can get it close to looking like this 1.
