Rewind to the summer holiday of 1986,i was desperate to get rid of my r gusset robinson,a friend at school had a cw,i asked to do a swap,he said yes!!!...............
a week later he brought the robbo back saying he didnt like it,gutted! :'(
ive always had soft spot for cw's,i know they're not everybodies cup of tea with their crazy geometry and lets not even mention the bars but bitd they were huge and it seemed that every other kid around my way had one,with hotwheels being a big cw importer and just an hour up the road from weymouth it was always going to be the case,so to finally get one in that august of 86 i was the happiest kid around,well for a week anyway! :LolLolLolLol:
this build was never intended to be a killer show stopper with high end parts,all i wanted to do was build a bike that you really would have seen kicking about bitd by using just regular everyday components.its been loosely based on factory spec not necessarily of a zx but a combo of all the early cw models,'stock' parts are pro neck stem,shimano tourney caliper with shimano dx lever and cable,shimano sx pedals,araya 7x with suzue hubs,tioga comp 3's,ame bubble font rounds,and izumi chain.the rest of the parts are sugino one peice with tioga sealed bb(cw used takagi)tuf neck power disc with tuf neck chain ring,uni seat,sr clamp and topped off with a reissue flite padset,the frame forks and bars have been rechromed(total lash up)and the parts are either nos or minty used,anyway here she is,dont larf to loud!! :LolLolLolLol:

cheers glynn and everybody on the great comments,like i said the cw's arent everybodies cuppa and always seem to be overlooked this time around but i love them and to add this one to the stable is a bonus for me,im really glad i decided to build this one :daumenhoch:

Lookin' good Mark :daumenhoch: , I'd probably swap out the Uni for a seat/post combo because ( IMO ) Uni's always look a bit odd on those laid back CW seat tubes .
What was the story with the chrome then ? .

yeah i know what your saying about the seat matt,with the crazy seat tube angle it makes the seat look like its pointing to the stars!! regards the chrome its pitted to fook,looks like the bikes got acne! :LolLolLolLol: :'(
