someone on here was trying to put gears on a bmx - can't remember who at the mo but they were looking to do a sturmey archer-type job
there's probably a good reason that's a 'one-off' :D
would be handy for the london to brighton ride in september though, some of those hills are quite steep ;)

sure this was done on some bikes back in the 80's/90's anyway so is not new :daumenhoch:

Thats me!!
5 speed sturmey archer. To make a 20" more of a tourer.
Sounds crazy and it probably is..................but if we didn't experiment then we'd be stuck with the penny farthing!!
Plus its a laff!!! :D

Glen ,,
Bigplinky (Andy Lincoln ) has a Browning 2 gear set up on his Maximum :daumenhoch:
It a double front chainringset up though , rather than a rear derailleur you've shown :)
I've had a go and it is fooking top quality smooth , very nice technical mechanism from the early 80's :daumenhoch:
It won a BOTM a few years ago I think :)

:) I was referring to the price. The bike is a POS-putting gears doesn`t change the fact that the seller is in dreamland. :daumenhoch:
