and tried my luck with Winstanlys! i've been looking for weeks now at their £59 bargain frame sets and i've taken the plunge and ordered one!
i ordered something with a 21"tt and a standard US BB, so i bet i get a 19" with a euro and completely diferent make alltogether! :LolLolLolLol:
will update when i get told it's not in stock ::)
-
a Diablo 2005 in blood red (although the colour isn't inportant as it'll get re-powdered) :daumenhoch:
lets wait and see what arrives (if indeed anything does!) :LolLolLolLol:
-
What a cracking idea.
Put them under the spot light on here. I just hope for their sakes they have taken heed of past mistakes.
Keep us posted Al :daumenhoch:
-
somethings you really should keep to yourself, wasn'tyou preaching stay away last month ? so what have you ordered ?

I've heared they pull them frames out of a Bran Tub! you might or might not get what you ordered? if you get it at all! ???
-
not sure whats happened to winstanleys
was the first shop i used when got back into bmx in 2005, think they had big advert spreads in ride, and ordered a complete db 2004 model, the shop assistant was helpful and delivery, product were spot on......although the bike was a battleship.....before anyone says, they didn't deliver a battleship, it just weighed like one :crazy2:
good luck rob!

They are the same in MTB magazine's big two page ads with the best prices, I never use them.
They probably feel if they get it right 30% of the time that's enough for them to keep going, it's probably being run by a p rick who pays minimum wage & only gets minimum effort from his staff >:(
Rob you should have paid a little bit more & gone to the Rad shop, I've had some cracking deals off Dave :coolsmiley:
But good luck with it :-\
-
I know what you're saying Chris, and i too have had some cracking deals from Dave........but even Dave wouldn't have been able to go to £59 and to be honest i wasn't really looking for a new NS frame anyways. I was actually after a Street Beat to make something out of, but even the cheapest one of those was £100 (which was a good price by the way) so when i saw these i thought i'd give it a go.
I do feel like i've let Dave down a bit though :-\ but for what i want to do with this frame i didn't need anything super light or bang up to date :daumenhoch:
-
I bought some wheels and tyres verry cheap from winstaleys, and they come in 3 days with free postage, everything was ok. :)
-
Fingers crossed mine has the same outcome :daumenhoch:
-
Well just received an email telling me its been dispatched with a tracking number, so far so good :daumenhoch:
