really nice hubs, ive just built a pair of z-rims on some, dont know what they are worth, think mine came on a set of weinmann rims :daumenhoch:

there french ,,, realy good at retreating ,,,but shit at going forward ,,,,,, i hear the germans supplied the french army with them in ww2 on all there vehicles :coolsmiley:
heres a reply i got from arnaud a while ago ,asking about the pair i have
there was a "diabolo" model with sealed bearings and then there were unsealed ones aswell.
some had a specai freewheel system "helicomatic "
forgot to mention i had a set of zd's with them on i got on a survivor

I have the Helicomatic hubs on my Yamaha. They use a twisted spline system to attach the freewheel to the hub.

made by weinmann me thinks, bit of a A brand and B brand thing, like phillips/marantz kind of arrangement bitd. think maillard was the A brand and they made a few crossover bits for bmx and fixie/road bike. a guy in belgium gave me the low down on them many years ago. he owned an old bike shop so i guess he knew his stuff. i git some nice gear of him and he had tons of stuff left.

i know they did hubs for set up with acs z rim`s as had a few sets in my time . nice hubs

Onions .....

Nice hubs but to put them in perspective of how I think of them.
Raleigh used them with weinmans on a bike about 4th in the range. Models higher up came with araya rims on suntour hubs.
