Yeah I know what you mean Rich :-\
I was really looking forward to going to watch BMX at the olympics
until I heard how much it was to get in ,, combined with the other cost like staying over , food ,drinks, T, shirt, personal fluffer etc
Best part of £800/900 easy :-\
-
unbelievable prices, but then if there's someone who's willing to pay...
http://www.channel4.com/news/olympics-2012
for £2012 you'd expect a bit more than an opening ceremony (happy ending as well)
-
as per thread in the lounge, i just checked Thomas Cooks site, guaranteed tickets to BMX Finals, 1 night B & B in Heathrow for 2 adults and 2 kids split across 1 double and 1 twin room
£1400
-
Ridiculous!!

Was that for the European Champs Dubber? I might have to make do with trying to get to the Euro round this year.
-
just to expensive, dont we have radsters wher we can have a sleep over in london
and wtf is that only pay whit visa :knuppel2: :tickedoff:
-
foookin joke and visa is a major sponsor so thats the only way you can pay.

We're only 20 mins from the Olympic site and the track, if any Radsters get tickets and need a crash pad then they're welcome here but.......
Thats if you get a ticket, rumour is that the BMX is one of the most popular applications thus far and i can see a lot of people missing out.
In all honesty BC should have had some flexibility to allow the people who pay into the sport to view the sport they support but that aint happening !

I'm on the committee of my swimming club and the ASA can't get anything for the Olympic swims either, not even a consession price for paid up ASA members. And if you try and book a group of tickets for a coach trip down - forget it. They refused point black to sell them, said we were going to tout them!! :wtf: so everybody would be spread around all over the stadium, not in groups with the chance to get the banners out and start singing together :)
How much do you bet if you can find someone in a foriegn country to buy tickets for you they can get a better price and block book??

Its £16 for a weekend ticket for Birmingham Euros in June, half price for kids.

It's June 18/19 in Birmingham, I think at the new Perry Park track.

:daumenhoch:

I`ve gone in for 4 tickets, I put down any price acceptable so they could be £80 or £500 !
The way I look at it there`ll probably never be another Olympics in this country in my lifetime, and even if there is we will never have a better chance of getting a gold medal in bmx, so I want to be there :daumenhoch:
-
As well as the Euros at Perry Park in June, there's the UCI Worlds next May 2012 in Brum at the NIA, might be easier to get tickets/cheaper then the olympics?
-
as bill has said wont ever see it again so why is 20.00 up to 125 so expensive ????/?
