I bought these off e-bay, and i thought i was buying some refurbed Pro Class wheels - bargain price as well 8).
I know Sumo made Pro Class rims, so i didn't think anything.
When they turned up, they were just sumo Rims which have been drilled - very badly as well, holes not in line and badly spaced.
Read the description, apart from the fact they have been refurbed, there is nothing to say that they are just SUMO rims that have been drilled and made to look like pro class rims :-\
Should i ask for a refund?

They are fakes, so you are entitled to a full refund, and I would say as they werent designed tro have holes in probably now very unsafe to ride on
-
I wouldn't be happy with those. I always thought Pro Class were Araya 7X rims? ???
-
yes, I'd definitely ask for a refund.
-
I was watching them but they didn't seem right so i didn't bid. Looking at the price they went for id say a lot of people thought the same. But on the other hand if they have been drilled out badly and out of line then yeh that wasn't stated in the add so you should be able to get a refund. Might be someone on here if they brought them for the old school series.

Wolfy is an old RAD member, i'm sure he'll sort this out for you
-
Thanks for the replies, as i didn't know if it was just me.
Do you think i should also ask for a refund on the postage to send them back as that will be around £9?
-
I wouldn't go in all guns blazing but you could ask him and see what he says . If you look in the for sale section i think he has just posted some bits .
-
always been spot on has wolfy.

Shame he wasn't more spot on with the description.
I'll PM him now.

Longstanding member & stand up guy , I'd speak to him first ( tbh I would've done that before this thread ) because he may have bought them drilled already ? .

Didn't know he was a member on here, already said that.
He may well have bought them drilled but they are not Pro class wheels.

looks like im in trouble here. guilty before my trial has started. as for the wheels i think the description is well presented as it states rims are used. i had them reanodised and as much of the rim pitting removed as possible. built them up to use for an old school racer which never happened.
as for the rims these were taken off a bad survivor condition mongoose califorina but i was told these were proclass rims so thought nothing else of it. as many people on rad know im not a rip off merchant and always list items to the best of my own knowledge.
phil.

Mate, so you are telling me you didn't know that these are Sumo rims that have been drilled to look like Pro class? But because they are used, this makes the description OK? :LolLolLolLol:
Funny how everytone seems to agree it's misleading - not to worry fella.
-
can you get pro-class rims that don't have a stamp on them? i have a set that are unstamped, they were silver anodized with shimano hubs. same profile as 7x rims. i knew there were 7x ones drilled out but i thought there were un stamped one's as well.

i said that about 4 posts prior to this ! :LolLolLolLol:
as the other said Wolfy is a reputable seller, but if you're not happy then you need to agree a resolution privately. :daumenhoch:
