At long last I have built my labour of love :daumenhoch: Off work and the sun was shining so thought i'd best get it built ;D
This is an exact replica of my Redline MX 11 from back in the day, like a lot of us was sold to fund beer and fags when we discovered nights out. This is what I set out to recreate after finding this site and discovering that oldschool bmx was still a big scene a couple of years ago. This actually started life as a Team Murray 360, and was traded bit by bit until I got the bike I actually wanted (having been reading BMX action up until Xmas) from Viking sales in Davyhulme, were many a saturday afternoon was spent after a two day camel ride to get there with Tudgy, Eddie, Ishy and others. Not everyones cup of tea with the blue bits but was going to be red/black but traded my Arayas for black Z'ds with gold hubs and hated them so swapped em same weekend for the blue tuffs, hence had to go down the red/blue route then ::)
The frame was bought from Tolly and imported from the states, the forks were NOS from DJBenice(Pete). A big thanks to Sam(meticulous) for the paint job, John(cheeky thirtysix) for the decals and meticoulsy applying them, Thanks guys.
parts run down:
Redline MX11 f/f, early USA made.
Redline bars.
Elina LB seat
DC seat clamp.
Redline fluted seatpost.
Oakley 3's
Mongoose gold stem.
shimano tourney and DX lever
tagaki OPC
Rattrap pedals
SR 44t chainring/spider combo.
Red snakebellys
Blue ally hubbed Tuffs.
Repop pads from Firebird (unfortunately couldn't afford originals).
Hope you like it
