One of the better concrete firms as it goes. Just don't let them over polish it.

Funny you should say that, they weren't always known by that name, and their first efforts left a little to be desired.
Fair play to them though, got fully involved in concrete parks and are doing well.

Dan,
Clifton isn't as bad as people make out! I grew up there : )

Mark I wasn't knocking Clifton... just your spelling of it.... in the 1st sentence
Not thinking - I asked Su where C.l.i.t.o.n was in Nottingham and got an odd look back :)

Cool, park design looks neat. Hope it gets a scene of users who keep it maintained + stuff. Most of the council £ tends to go to the shitty areas - examples a plenty in doncaster where some half blind pensioner and his workshy apprentice knock up a piece of vaguely-similar-to-the-drawing crap that gets the shit kicked out of it + covered in glass/used johnnies/syringes and is the scene of many a bowl-bottom wheelie bin fire. Or rotherham, where they build concrete skateparks with no decks in dimly lit murder scene parks to be used as waste bins by schoolkids and their luchtime kebabs where nobody that lives within a mile has heard of bmx, or good old sheffield which gets nowt. Best example of location i've come across for a while is that one in stoke, shame it's so blinking far away! Jesus that was a rant wasn't it, All I Intended to say was good luck with the project, keep us posted, it may be somewhere for me to go for 3 hours while the wife goes round ikea this summer!!

Ben its being built by a company who only employs skaters/riders and if the 4x track nearby is anything to go by the locals will look after it/police it themselves but lets see?

oh and I forgot to mention the park will have an 8m brick hip in homage to the old Broadmarsh Banks :daumenhoch:

More like there stock hip, 1.2 m high and nothing like Broady...
Looking forward to the park but it's going to be very small according to their spec.

Cheers for the link, looks ok but like you say, the hip doesn't exactly pay homage to broady enough. The bowl section looks dead similar to one recently built in rawmarsh, rotherham, queen somebody park, 1' deck on it all the way round, ? same company building notts setup ? Looks fun thogh!!

They told me it was going to be bigger than the one over Bestwood way that they also built

I proper like the look of the second pump track.
The one with the 3 way table top in the middle, great for jumping either way.
I agree with Robotnik tho. The brick hip would have to be a world class replica of the Broady Banks / Humps before it even comes anywhere near to making up for the destruction of the Broady Banks.
The council sold the inner city BMX/Skate scene down the river at the whim of the poxy new Art Gallery.
Art repressing Art. Fck that fckng art gallery. L
