Guys,
Another NoOb question as a progress through my first build....
I have read contradictory views on the tinterweb regarding bearing race orientation.
For Bottom Brackets everything points to the exposed side of the bearing race (more of the ball visible) faces inwards so the bearings run against the curved race seated in the BB. Read this:

From what I can find regarding Headsets, it is the reverse, with advice to place races facing outwards so that the bearings run against the cone shaped insert and not the cup fitted into the bike headtube! Read this:
http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/threaded-headset-service (http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/threaded-headset-service)
Please can anyone clarify the orientation for BOTH sets of Races?
Many thanks in advance,
Clean.
