Found a few photos of the bowl we built at Bones skatepark,Stockport back in the late nineties. Bit of a big undertaking at the time, shallow end to deep end with hips - all out of wood. To give you an idea,it took 9 weeks to build the bowl compared to just 6 weeks to build the rest of the skatepark.

Yer, I've riden that bowl, had a great oldschool feel to it, real nice to ride - I managed to do a good footplant off the ledge out the topend too up the wall.

The bowl at Boro is hard to get out of ;D - the big side feels like its going over vert at the top, the bones one is just right, not as mad as it looks.
-
I never rode in there when it was Bones, but can we ride bikes in there still and can it be hired out if it's called "skate" now ???
It's only in Stockport which I can do in less than an hour over the hills..... >:D

thats the shallow end, the deep is about 5 foot deepish as i remember
-
yeah that was just the roll in before you went into the bowl.
-
that's ok then - at least I could get out by myself there ;D
-
It's deffo deeper than 5 feet ,,,,must be nearly 7 feet :-\ I can't see out the top when I'm in the bottom ::)
I hated the low metal roof braces there ,, fookin dangerous
I did like the half pipe that was awesome
didn't like the puddles though when we last hired it :yahoo_silent:
must be 2 years ago at least now :-\
-
The shallow end is about 3 1/2 feet deep and the deep end stops short of vert at about 7-7 1/2 feet deep. 8 foot transitions in the deep end. :daumenhoch:
-
