Anyone any ideas which one it is?
Chrome frame and black forks are (I am lead to belive) original, it has WINERMAN gold alloy wheels and 4-finger brake levers
and a prasonable amount of rust!

dirty burner! ;D

Cool find. :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

I thought it was a cool find!
I don't think I can afford to re-chrome the frame, so was thinking of painting/powdercoating it.
Anyone kno wwhat colours they would have come in? I seem to remember a Night Burner, with red & white decals? but not sure if this could have been a Mk2?
I could also fit some StarX mag wheels to it too - I would like to use the gold wheels on my DP Firebird (they desparatley need a re-spoke and a clean) Unless I should keep all the parts with the Burner?

Just put it back where you found it :P

looks like an old mk1 super burner

you could go for an ultra burner look.they were black with gold parts.or an extra burner.they were white with red ghosting on the dropouts, gusset and bb shell.they also had red bars with red chainguard.

Paint the frame, forks and bars black then polish up all the shiny bits and you'll have a nice little Ultra Burner lookalike... :coolsmiley:

Sounds like a good plan - my local powdercoaters could do that quite cheaply :)
-
Super burner. Not been messed with either. Where'd you find it?

It used to belong to a lady that looked after my daughter a few years ago. i bumped into her, we got talking about old VW's (she knows they are a passion of mine) and I was telling her about the DP Firebird I was working on.
She said that her son's old BMX was outside , and if I wanted it I could come collect - so I said that I would, and I did.
So . . . . . if it's an un-messed with Super Burner I guess I should keep it that way?
What was used to colour the frame? The frame on mine is chrome (and rust) was it chrome then over painted with something to make it gold?
