Hi gang,dyed some zytecs about 6 months ago,used rit dye and they came out fantastic,proper impressed.Moved house about a month after I dyed them,unpacked them today and they have sort of half faded and look pants.Has anyone got a clue on whats happened?

Sounds like they've 'dried out' a bit - I'm no expert, but think you can give 'em a spray of WD-40 to bring em back up again, although I'd assume this'd make 'em stink like doo-doo :)

Thanks for the heads up man.Just sent the missus of to tesco to get loads of bleach to start again.I remember reading about WD-40 but as they're for a rider I thought me brakes would be toss.Then again no brakes might get me some cred with the youth!!!!

I'd leave bleach out of it and just do the Rit Dye thang again if they are for a rider :daumenhoch:

Missus forgot the bleach anyway so I might give 'em a soak in some hot water and a quick scrub and see what happens.If I put WD on 'em,will my brakes still work? ???
