They are indeed Glen but the Quadangle Looptails are far nicer.

I really like that, great mix of colours and is that a Revcore seat post clamp?  The DK stem looks pretty nice on it too  :daumenhoch:.

Definitely a rider, might make it's debut on the London ride in June.

Thanks mate, the DK stem, although it looks good is the wrong era so will be changed in a week or so to a polished Tuf Neck. It is indeed a Revcore Clamp, a NOS one at that, slightly polished, definitely not the troop ones that CW are currently selling. Apparently only 50 were originally made, How true that is though is debatable.

Cheers for the nice comments chaps, now go vote for it in BOTM  :LolLolLolLol:

PS, I know some of the pictures are the wrong way round but i don't know how to do it.

A chrome/polished chainwheel would look nice on there.  Would break up the blue a bit more.  (I'd probably have to add a blue/silver zebra chain then though if I did that  :uglystupid2: )

Cracking bike as it is but those refinements you have planned won't do any harm...

You could also remove the fork decals and re-apply them in your own inimitable style.  RAEG GNIDNAL, sorted  :D

That is deffo a crisp build, seen this in the making :coolsmiley:

As for a rider...   Everything's a rider where we're from  >:D

In your photobucket account, you can edit and rotate pictures. Just find the seat picture, hover your mouse cursor over it until it pops out at you. You'll see a blue bar come up, click on EDIT and use the rotate buttons to move the picture around. Then click on replace original.  :daumenhoch:

Now the bike.......

i would defo change the chainring to polished silver/chrome and i'd get on to Steve and get some pads made, Quads look naked without them. A nice black set with silver/blue writing. Maybe lose the tyres for more era correct but then if it's a rider then i'd keep them.

Other than that, that is superb. Amazing colour  :4_17_5: :4_17_5:

These are just my opinions and i don't mean to upset you with my changes but i do love a Quad, so racy looking.  :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Thanks Ben,
A lot of people have said change the Chainring to a Polished or Chrome one but i'm not sure, i think there might be a bit too much Chrome in one spot although i see your point, i could change it to a PPP one

Sean hasn't mate, he's just saved the pictures to his own photobucket account and edited them for you.

Tyre wise..... you have an 83 bike so should be looking for 83 tyres rather the late late 80's/90 tyres.

use this website for all info.

My wife will argue with you about that.  :LolLolLolLol:

Anyhow, if you think a chrome/polished chainring will look like there is too much of one colour then try a Chrome/polished power disc with a blue suntour chainring.  :daumenhoch:

Thanks everyone for all suggestions and comments, I will put a Blue / Chrome combo for the gearing, Blue Disc and Chrome Chainring or viceversa and now I have been told what a plank i am i will change the tryes to correct ones, as i say the Stem will get changed aswell but no pads are going on this bike, i do like them but these frames to me are probably the one of the nicest looking frames ever built so i wanna see the full naked beauty.

Also a big thanks to Vince (mincer) for the great restoration work (hubs, Rims, Brake & Frameset), Wheel building, bike building and general abuse throughout this build. :daumenhoch:

Nice clean looking build that. Normally I'm a pad freak but I reckon Quads n Rippers look better without them  ;)

Are you going to ride it ? If so I'd stick with the tyres or go for cheng shin skinwall comp3's if you want era correctness without breaking the bank and then ruinining them by riding  :daumenhoch:

i always think a quad needs a frame pad, as it doesnt say the bikes name anywhere else....

What a beauty this bike is :4_17_5: :smitten:

I must agree, think it needs a padset to set it off :daumenhoch:

But also like the shape of the frame, and seems a shame to cover it :-\

Wish i had a Quad to have this dilemma over ::) ??? ;D ;)

Paul.
