Title: Robinson RSR....
Post by: MartyC on May 08, 2011, 06:15 AM
I got this a few years back and although these are incredibly rare I have resisted the temptation to go the full restoration run.  The chrome is shot in places and lots of the ano has faded, the pedals have been taken back to the alloy on the cages and the rims were absolutely knackered.  I have stripped it, given it an OA bath, clean and polished it all over and had to replace the rims, grips, chain, innertubes and brake cable but aside from the it is completely OG as it left Alans BMX in Wigan way back in 1984, I have an email from Alan Woods confirming the details of the original sale and the fact that they put Mongoose Pro Class bar on this one as they had run out of Robinson bars!

I have only seen ONE other Robinson RSR owned by Alan Woods himself and that one is a Red frame not chrome...

Enjoy!

When I got it:

Aside from one rip caused by a blow out (the hole in the tube was huge!) they are in pretty good nick considering they are the original tyres from new!
