Ahh!! My blimmin Elina UL seat post slips back down into the frame after a few mins riding. I weight 74kg so not exactly heavy. I do the clamp up as tight as I dare.
Do seat posts come in slightly different diameters? Are there any tricks to giving them a little more staying power (grip).
PS: I will be getting ride of it but need a short terms solution..

Cut a coke (or beer) can into strips and use then as shim's between post/frame/clamp etc etc
It's easier if you cut the coke can horizontally as well

One other tip.........if you drink the 6 cans get an adult to supervise the "can cutting" >:D
And heed the words of the legendary Norm Abram...

Feck!! So, I got about a postage stamps worth of can down my shaft, and although it is a lot better, its still slowly lowering. Anymore suggestions?
Thinking of trying bulimia to keep my Elina from slipping.. Anyone know of any good bulimia forums?

Paul,
Cut a long strip and rap it around the seat post, do a trial fit its too tight or to big cut a little bit more off until its a snug fit.

Or just buy one of these ::)

Sorry but not sure. I think it says MX on the side. It does only have a single bolt; maybe clamps with front and back bolts give more clampage (is that a word?).

Nice SH-101 :coolsmiley:
Ta. Probably have not turned it on for over 4 years. I have more synths in cupboards that I have forgotten about then most people have in their studios :( Still, I have plenty more that I have not forgotten about :)
BTW, that 101 features in the video in my signature (although not actually in the song).

Hi - yeah, words of wisdom from Leah, the singer. I try not to direct, control or even question her lyrics as I dont believe in art-by-committee. To be honest, I try not to even think about her lyrics because when I do, I then feel like I have to question them (usually along the lines of "what the feck are you on about??!!")

Trust me bro, your not gonna like that seat and post one bit. :-\ The angle of the seat once fitted to the DP makes it impossible to sit on comfortably and looks like its taking off ;D Proper pants :buck2:
