Title: Summer Rider 2011 - Koizumi Framed - 1986
Post by: beard1973 on May 12, 2011, 01:51 AM
Okay now your in the thread... bad news... its another 'Burner' from me... (did you expect anything else...  :P)

Now before you jump ship, this is NOT your mild steel battleship that Nottingham was churning out..

This is a rare Mk2 Cromo Burner whose framesets were built and manufactured by Koizumi (Japan). Notice the very unlike Raleigh Geometry and welding for starters.

In standard guise these bikes were pretty well spec'd, I've built this one with addition of the TUFF and few other bits and pieces to use as a Summer Rider this year,
I'm hoping to make a few of the 'meets' and wanted a NEW ride with bit more a 'freestyle' vibe than what I normally tend to build.

Anyway here she is... Raleigh Mk2 Cromorange Burner

And the obligatory 50mm F1.4 Prime shots...

Nice! Through good experiences, I've become quite a fan of Japanese kit - vehicles, guitars/basses and bikes.

David.

I have seen some quality builds come out of your stable over the years but this one is right there at the top with the best :daumenhoch:

Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me

Just when we think that every conceivable custom Burner has been done.....you just go and break the mould again

Simply stunning, well done :daumenhoch:

Real nice to see something unexpected. A pretty rare frameset for sure (i can remember selling no more than 2 or 3 of those bikes in the shop I worked at)

Great build Dave.  :daumenhoch:
