Title: SST Command Post
Post by: AKGOFF on May 13, 2011, 09:43 PM: I have just bought an SST Command Post and although it is useable its not nice and shiny which is how i like my things, so my question is this:.........................Do I leave it as it is but it will look pretty rough against the rest of the gleaming bike or do i rechrome and get a new decal so it looks shiny and new?

If you can get a new decal and clean it up it should be ok is it to go on a bike or in a cabinet?

It has got the internal brace so I know it's genuine and yes it will go on a rider but none of my bikes take a beating so it's not as if I would scratch up a nice shiny post if I had it done!

Last one I seen went for £300 ish on usbay a while ago similar nick to that one,may even be that one as the sticker was pretty gone on that one too.

This is not the one on US EBay, I got this from a private UK collector last week.

I think i will try and get the Decal off and if so send it to Del to get a duplicate done and get it polished up, if it still looks cack i will get it rechromed. If i can't get the Decal off in a reasonable state for Del to work his magic does anyone know where i could obtain one?
