I lay in bed this morning next to my gorgeous missus thinking about writing a book, not that i will but my train of thought lead to a book on the 30+ years of bmx, then i thought about the front cover, it raised the question:
what one picture in bmx emphasises the last 30+ years?
would it be old? new? mid? riding? skatepark and which one? rider?
I'm sure we all have different thoughts on what pic it would be so what would it be for you?

I think this picture of John Palfreyman racing at Saddleback in 1975 is the picture that made me go wow, what the hell is this. It sums up BMX in the early days, basic bikes, mad as hell riders and tracks that were really motocross tracks.
