I think that 'Skyway' stem is one of the fakes sold by a uk ebay seller about 2 years ago. There's probably at least half a dozen of them floating around the UK. :police:
-
i remember that moose.
main problem with the skyway stems is the printed skyway logo making resto almost impossible
-
Yeah I think your right Phil, the guy that was selling these ones did have around half a dozen or so :knuppel2:

I know, but I think the wedge nut's are also different, so if yours has a sticker and that ^ type of wedge, then it's almost certainly a fake.
-
TBH I nicked the wedge and stem bolt off the skyway stem for another one I had, a DK , so that one above is not the one that came with it :crazy2:

well ?.
-
Dave, if your stem had a printed/screen printed Skyway logo before then it's a genuine Skyway stem.
The only other thing to add is that these original 'Skyway' stems are the same as the Diamond Back ones, once the original logo has gone, it could be either. :-\
-
cheers for that phil :daumenhoch:.
i wanted to check before i tried to sell it.
yes it did have the skyway printed on the top.
but like you say with striping it to polish and taking this logo off it makes it difficult to tell
