Title: Pedal Bearings (SR Custom M's)
Post by: Retrodan72 on May 26, 2011, 08:48 PM
Hi guys, i'm having trouble building my pedals back up, did it once but started to get a knock when riding/click.

I can sit the bearings on to the spindle with ,mass amounts of grease and can fit the spindle to the cage, but it's sitting the bearinggs on the nut and fitting it on to the spindle without them falling off and having to start again.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a technique I need to know about?

Cheers Dan.

put the grease on the bearing cup on the pedal body, sit the bearings in the grease then install the axle, grease the other side of the pedal body then stick the bearings in there. then stick the cone back on washer and locknut.

Gave that up as a bad job, my sausage fingers + bad temper = binning the white pedals off and fitting the black ones, not in keeping with the look of the bike but at this stage when I need the bike on Sat, I really can't be 4rsed, cheers anyway John.
