Title: Kuwi ET / Hot heart Forks....
Post by: stevesredvxr on May 28, 2011, 10:54 AM
Which forks were off the Kuwi ET ?
I know they were Tange but which model?

How easy are they to come across as I'm after some for my Hot heart.......?

Regards Steve

As said above, they're really hard to find so some 'out of the box' thinking may be required.   :D

I wonder if these forks would work - need pics of the dropouts to be sure.   :-\

I know Akisu make a very similar fork to the ET fork as well...

Certain Peugeot forks have round tubing and a similar shaped dropout but the holes in the dropout are slightly different.

nowt an 8mm drill bit wouldn't put right.   ;D :10_2_12: :police:

Not really, they always had the trx round tube style, but there are that many bastardised hot hearts out there now, you see more with the tx forks or trx because you can change the frame but the forks are not the same.  :-\

I would Sam but funds are low......Mortgage, kids, the wifes spending..................and the girfriend costs me a fortune too!!

Talking of putting glitter on a turd, hows the new paint job on your van?  ::)

2nd pic has correct ET forks.  1st pic has correct Hot Heart TX1200 forks fitted.  Like JT says, most Hot Heart ET wannabe's are fitted with either TRX (oval) or TX1200 round forks as E.T. forks aren't the easiest of things to come by (well, not in the UK anyway)

I agree with Hunterdubber about leaving the heart alone - Eamonn built a lovely HH with the ET style paintwork but in blue instead of red.  :smitten:

I would have left the heart alone but it has the heart already drilled so what choice do I have?  :(

The laughable thing is I sold a brand new mint pair of TX1200's only two weeks ago to Monkian!  :idiot2:

The top one isn't a real E.T. but the bottom one is. :daumenhoch:
I have never seen an original with any other forks than the round tubed trx like dropouts either.
