Im having some MX1000's restored and ive got all the hardware and nos quick releases, has anyone had the rivet fitted and who did it for you ??? Im guessing it needs pressing maybe by an engineering company.

There's a good thread on here somewhere with someone using a small domed allen-key bolt.
I think it's a pretty neat way around the problem 8)

I think Wildon (Terry?) had a mate fit on using the proper rivet from Porkchop that comes with the replacement QR mech. You will need a press and a dome rivet former to get the right shape on the rivet as it's pressed. I think Porkchop has a link on his site on how to fit them too.

I have just scoured the forum and no luck finding anything that doesnt involve a press and rivets!!
I will create my own awesome fix for this and post the results at a later date
