Title: MX 1000 resto quick release rivet refit ????
Post by: Moza on May 31, 2011, 11:48 AM: Im having some MX1000's restored and ive got all the hardware and nos quick releases, has anyone had the rivet fitted and who did it for you ??? Im guessing it needs pressing maybe by an engineering company.

Post by: MartyC on May 31, 2011, 01:30 PM: I think Wildon (Terry?) had a mate fit on using the proper rivet from Porkchop that comes with the replacement QR mech. You will need a press and a dome rivet former to get the right shape on the rivet as it's pressed. I think Porkchop has a link on his site on how to fit them too.

I will create my own awesome fix for this and post the results at a later date
