Title: Valuation - REDLINE
Post by: beard1973 on June 04, 2011, 01:00 AM
Can anyone advise me on the value of the following frame set and attached parts.

What would be a fair price?

This is not a 'profit' exercise....

A 'friend' has been offered this by an old 'racer'... He just wants to know what is a fair price...

He isn't looking to rob the guy or pay over the odds...

£200  I would say as it looks to need a fair injection of cash to get it up together again, the parts are nice on it but £££ need to spent

Cheers Bren...

I knew someone with some actual 'knowledge' would be along to advise.  :daumenhoch:

I tend to ignore internet TROLLS with no idea at all..  ::)

And as I stated at the beginning of this post... this is not a 'profit' exercise...  ::)

Unlike Mr.Artoiz whose whole ethos in this hobby appears to be 'Break 'em up and make some ££££'s'  :-X

He wouldn't even recognise some of the names of the people involved in the deals I have been brokering this past few weeks.... Salisbury, Schofield, Slater...? nah... I thought not.

Instead of spamming my threads on various forums, instead of pretending you know anything with your dopey valuations, instead of creating Gumtree Adverts selling MY bikes, instead of pretending to be ME on eBay... why don't you do a bit of research into the history of BMX.

Your a TROLL... and as I will continue to make others aware... YOUR THE SKID MARK IN THE PANTS OF BMX.

I fookin hope you arent lumping me in the troll category Dave, or for that fact motomag.
my valuation was based on the fact i couldnt tell whether the redlines were single pinch or twin pinch, big differnce in value, im sure you'll agree. I gave a bottom line

You really don't listen do you....  ::)

I was emailed by a BMX Legend, asking for a valuation... as he had been offered the bike you see in the picture (which belongs to another UK BMX legend).

He wanted a realistic valuation as neither are overly clue'd up on the value of Old Skool bits and pieces, and didn't want to over pay for it, or rip the guy off...

So I asked for help on here as Redline's are not something I know a great deal about, I'd already valued the cranks and stem etc...

But I forgot.. its all about the £££'s for you.

Jog On Skidmark.... No profit to be made here... this is about BMX...  :Aresehole:

I'm not angry Skidmark...  :coolsmiley:

I'm chilled and happy knowing that two of the biggest names in OS UK BMX are getting back into the bikes that made them such legends BITD.

And I didn't make a dime helping them out...  :smitten:

Now off ya go... carry on TROLLING...  ::) surely you have another FAKE gumtree ad to create... You haven't posted any of my stuff for sale for a while.

Why don't other old school brands of BMX attract such trailor trash as these Chuckle Brothers double act ???

They were warned off another site with a lifetime ban for this type of behaviour....and now they bring it to RAD :(

Two years this skidmark has been posting crap like this... posing as a 'Dave Beard' asking silly questions all over eBay...

He's now operating on eBay under the name BURNERWORLD on eBay... why? he was banned from BW 2 years ago for racist comments.

It really is pathetic...

JD_76 you make a fair and well balanced point sir.

Unfortunately I am a naturally suspicious person and because of my recent bad experiences on ebay this has only made me even more suspicious of sellers that I do not know.

As a black man I was always taught to be suspicious of people that I do not know and regrettably due to the treatment dealt out to my fore fathers I was always taught to be especially warey of whitey.

I am sure Beard is 100% honest and conducts himself and his dealings on ebay with dignity and integrity.

I will edit and delete my previous comments about negative feedback on ebay as I agree that it may be misinterpreted - if of course Beard has no objections to this?

Oh it's hilarious till it's your stuff that's being advertised. It's funny as fook till your sat at work or getting emails from people asking why I'm selling this and why I have this list on gumtree...

And then you log onto eBay and find some spineless pr1ck is asking every Tom Dick and Harry selling OS BMX bits stupid questions and signing off as YOU.

Its a real blast...

Tbh, if you acknowledged the source of the crap it wouldn't evolve would it? You are quite right, these sites are for BMX, thats why trolls should be fooked off out of em. Due to said troll being banned for trolling on our forum, he chooses to bring it to other sites where we have been members long before he arrived on the scene with no trouble. Anyways fook him, if he ain't got nothing better to do than make fake accounts all over the internet, dream up idiotic gumtree ads and ebay ads, troll in proper BMX threads looking for a retaliation in an attempt to boost hios obviously pathetic existance and live in hope of having sex with a woman ever again, I actually feel sorry for the dung beetle. No doubt a thread on Raleighburner.com will start about me now, or maybe my mums arse will appear on some escort website? oh how much fun he will have sat at his desk dribbling on his keyboard for the next few hours......If all this trolling is acceptable in these parts, I might start making a few fake accounts and doing the same........STOP!!!!! Agree about the shenanigans.

Looking at how this thread developed though it gives you a bit of an insight as to why the retaliation.

I know if i posted a thread up and someone made an off hand comment post questioning the original post's intention with an insinuation making my character look bad, then you could pretty much expect the thread to go on a tangent.
ie.

Even a better result for David :daumenhoch:.......................ka-ching 8)(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/tt244/StellaArtoiz/Animations/4952085.gif)
And that's without all the crap we got to read about after.

I know locking a thread for things to calm down a bit can sometimes help, also having a word with the person that caused the derailment in the 1st place and letting the victim know the matter is being dealt with can too.
These sort of measures are just down to moderator judgement.

I know locking a thread for things to calm down a bit can sometimes help, also having a word with the person that caused the derailment in the 1st place and letting the victim know the matter is being dealt with can too.
These sort of measures are just down to moderator judgement.

Which is exactly what has been done (not the locking of thread as that seems to make people moan also).  I have had a word with all the parties and a cease fire has been agreed.

Most of the Mods work on site is done behind closed doors via pm.  It isn't always necessary for us Mods to get involved directly with a thread as then people say we are heavy handed.

Anyway back to the BMX's.

All this back and forth seems a bit surplus, doesnt it?

Where I come from (Pistonheads), once a poster can be proved to be a fake, trouble-maker or is impersonating someone else on the site maliciously, theyre banned.  Trolling stops, arguing stops and the dick is gone.

Everyones happy.  Nevermind sorting differences with cocks off-site - if the cock can be proved so (which appears to be the case here), get rid.  Thats why you have mods, surely?

MODs are mostly here for keeping things running smooth - spam or a wrong post or to edit if needed - to ask a question if a member needs help with some thing like account or a post

the trouble is when two or more members kick off against each other - then every one has a different opinion who is right and who is wrong ?

some times it over flows from another bmx site and then it get chased around from site to site

the mods try to keep it running smooth, but they do have the power to sort things out and give a ban or be expelled for a week or two, to try and sort it out

this has kicked off on RaleighBurner.com where i am a mod - it not easy to sort out - you just got to say take it some where else or you can't be on here - people don't always listen to a pm, and if you can't hear then you won't be here

BW. - rad - rewind - RB.com - where next ?

The Moderators on Radbmx DO NOT have the power to ban or expel etc, that is purely down to Admin.

The thing is that as far as I am concerned this is from another site and to be honest what happens on other sites have fook all to do with me or Radbmx.  If something starts on here and is a problem for this site then the Moderators act on it and then Admin do the necessary ass kicking.

But if we were to ban people because they have been a twat on other sites then we wouldn't have many members would we?  We can only act on what happens on this site and so far it is just a few people angry with each other for reasons that I really don't care for or about and they are winding each other up and venting considerable amounts of hot air.

Is that reason for bans to be handed out?  Not as far as I am concerned.

I take it back in how i meant that - it would be discussed in the mod lounge  ;)

this has been ongoing for a couple of years on the two other sites - it will continue on here is my guess  ;D

Fair points.

Thats probably why Im not admin OR a mod, anywhere.
