Title: What year are my Redline cranks?
Post by: generallee on May 18, 2006, 09:00 AM
Can anyone with a redline flite knowledge help me out? What year do you think the flite cranks on this ripper of mine are? They are double pinch bolt, 180mm, and thats a redline chainring that came on them. I bought this frame with the cranks on it form the usa a few months back - it had a uni seat  on it and a few other bits that looked correct for around 1985 [when the striaghtstay ripper was out] but im wondering if these cranks may be a bit later? I dont think they are the brand new flite reproductions., as they have signs of aging [slightly dull chrome, bolts a bit age coloured etc.

So - any ideas on what year roughly? I have no knowledge of flite cranks! Thanks in advance. steve

I don't know much about flights either, but if they're double pinch, they're not 80's at all and I'm not even sure they would be early 90's either  :-\

Hia dude...they were still making single pinch in the late 90's...so very new - but still beautiful, so don't be disappointed and enjoy!
