Hi all
Whats the deal with the crazy priced DX pedals such as these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/190543573246 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/190543573246)
Is it because they are 9/16? I thought all pedals had the same size thread? If not, how do you know which cranks have which threads?
I search the Sticky but no joy..

One piece cranks have 1/2 threads, 3 piece have 9/16
-
1 piece crank 1/2" peds
3 piece crank 9/16 peds

Original DX 's are worth a good few quid anyway regardless of thread size and seem to be getting quite rare too
-
ta for that - I did not know that (and I have just got a redline 3 piece).
So, 9/16 DX pedals demand much more than 1/2 pedals? In the last 2 weeks or so, a list member sold some DX pedals on eBay for approx £185! I presume the pedal can take either size spindle so, you could (in theory) just simply swap the spindle?
Im new to old school BMXing and Im still trying to come to terms with some of this stuff (like pedal thread sizes affecting price) ???

yes paul you can swop the spindles over :daumenhoch:
maybe yes the 3 piece version do fetch slightly more maybe due to 3 piece cranks being so much more expensive that 1 piece cranks :-\

That fookin seller is a total rip off anyway and known to sell fake shit
Too right ... DO NOT buy from him or that fooking dirty scammer 'babelovely'. Had me over when i first started and i didnt know any better :tickedoff:

Get a half decent set, a file and sone sandpaper and some glass paint. Job done. Fook paying that money if you're not anal about perfect bits and just want a decent looking set.
