He's having this for his birthday, picked it up off a member on here, but bought it off retrobike. I did have it packed up in a box ready to be repowdered, but after some deliberation I decided against, he has a hard enough time staying on a bike on the flat so whay waste money.
Im just waiting on another set of pedals, a blue and white pair of SE grips and some custom blue haro decals for him
spec
Standard Haro Pro XL apart from
funn chainring
tioga tyres
dialled bars :smitten:
bombshell carbon forks
shimano brake
weighs in at a smidge under 10kg and is so happy to throw the front in the air, he's yet to ride it, but i gave it a go round the track and it was like buckaroo!!

:) Lookin` good.Just make sure you keep the spindle bolts tight as AC cranks arms are prone to rounding off around the square tapers. :daumenhoch:

cheers for the advice fella, I checked them all with the allen key and all seems tight now. will keep a close eye on them as its going to get some hardcore abuse off my lad
Im not all that up ith race bike tech, and was pretty scared by the forks and the washers that seem to press into the pacman style dropouts.
Its my lad first proper bike, before this he had a 2002 goose and a 2010 GT vertigo, he is itching to get on it, I caught him in the bloody shed when my back was turned. he wouldve got away with a sneaky peek, but the gasps of wow coming from the shed were a bit of a giveaway!!!!

were the bars silver as i have those too.
Its currently in my local bike shop having a new bottom bracket fitted and a new freewheel, as we took it out on thursday night and the bb had play in it by the end of the night and the freewheel was making a hell of a racket

Im just happy that the cartridge bb was fairly cheap i thought and freewheels arent wildly expensive. so it hasnt cost me a fortune, its got a nice set of 'shine eaters' pedals on it now as my lad loves them

Picking it up from the local bike shop tomorrow, had to have new bottom bracket in it :( and ive had the headset beearings changed too while it was in there. Got the stem from you and some some nice simple decals ready to put on thursday evening, then he can have a blast around the track on it

Jaymz, raid your wife's make-up bag (or in Dubber's case your weekend drag bag) and get some nail-varnish on the thresads of the crank bolts. Cheaper than Locktite and does the same job - will help stop it all rattling loose :daumenhoch:
-
nice tip spen :daumenhoch:
-
finally got it back today after the local bike shop had a terrible time getting the crank arm off, as the threads to screw the removal tool into were shot to shlt :(
enjoy!
