they use to strip anno of alloy
caustic soda

have you not tried putting the post in a vice and turning the frame ?
that should work
-
alloy is too soft to put in vice it just turned .drilled a hole through the alloy and put metal pin in then clamped to the vice which held it in place got more flex out of the frame but post did not move.it is really stuck :'(
-
fill it up with caustic soda
watch ya eyes and dont breath it in
it will be all gone in the morn lol
just pour out the mess after
-
will try the caustic soda over the weekend friend has got the right place to use the stuff so fingers crossed will work ok let you all know sunday
-
take your old stem, and clamp it to the seat post
-do it up real tight
-then, instead of trying to twist, whack it straight down
-
sometimes caustic is the only way....

make sure you block any holes.

its worked quite well taken half of the post away, but it was a very thick post, so i need to do it again, but i ran out of caustic. i kept topping it up cos you pour a bit in then it all froths up over the top. you need to keep adding a bit more, and occasionally tipping out the sludge.
remember, gloves and dont breathe in the fumes....do it outside, and dont get it on your skin it burns like feck.
-
i'll try that on my pk ripper ;)
-
Hi oberonspacefruit how long did that take you to do ?
should i do the topping up bit or leave it overnight?
-
i couldnt leave it overnight, cos the stuff literally flies out the top.
there is very little liquid left in the tube, due to spillage, thats why i had to keep topping it up.

Nice clear instructions , but wear goggles as this will hurt in your eye
-
you only got one eye then rich
???
-
1 eye would be an accident
both would be foolish
