Title: Tioga Task Force Stem....
Post by: ThisBitterPill on June 16, 2011, 11:21 PM
I have a NOS black one, but I want to paint it blue like my BITD one....

Does anyone have a pic of a blue one or does anyone know if is it the same blue as the striped Tioga / Tange seatclamp?

Cheers!

 :)

Here you go Daz ;)
The Blue is a bit deeper / darker than Taskfore Clamp.
Hope that helps. Shame you have to strip the NOS black one but I know how difficult it is to find it in blue.
If you want to swap it for my red-top and a polished base (not shown) just give me a shout.

Ah that's great mate....Thanks a lot!

It does seem a shame to strip the NOS one....

The funny thing is, on my original BITD DP (which I am building a replica of) I sanded the blue paint off the top
so it was just bare aluminium!

I'll have a think about the Black one....Took me ages to find...I don't think I've even seen another Blue one since mine in 1985!

 ;D

No worries. Happy to help ;)
Just let me know if you want some more photos in a better light.
I'd love to be able to offer you the blue one but it's ear-marked for a build.
I guess you must be nearly there with your childhood ride 8)
