Wack a pro neck or tuf neck on it.
Failing that a copy suntour or summat.
-
depending on spec the SR and suntour were both stock on a GT at some point

thanks chaps ,not knockin the sr stem as i do like em but the geometry doesnt suit the frame for me ,did gt make a race stem ?

I've had a Genuine mallet stem without the potts mod bolt came on an complete 83 GT Pro survivor ::)
So I expect they brought it out as a race version and a freestyle version
Bung on any of the ones already mentioned by Daz and Jase :)

most of the ones i've seen have a suntour or tuff neck but as the hunter says a gt mallet would look pucka

yep i own that stem now ;) the mallet came out in 85 and there was 2 versions race and freestyle :daumenhoch:
standard stem for an 84 would have been a tuf neck or sr depending what model bike :daumenhoch:
