For those that regularly ride on tuffs and find the new skyway blocks a bit meh. I may have found and answer.
I picked up 2 sets of Xposure Bachelor Pads to use on my blue tuffs as they were clear with a coloured insert and pretty soft.

After riding for two days on them, my wheels are still mark free and stopping is neck joltingly good. Ive benn hammering the brakes as well just to be sure they work and they are great. my last pair of rider mags were white and i had white tuff pads on them, after an afternoons riding the rims were marked, these have been riden pretty hard for two days and not a mark on them

So for a rider, if you can compromise looks slightly [I have to say im going to swop out the black hardware for polished at some point] and dont mind the annoying squeek they make as they bed in, then go for it. they retail for around £4-£6 for a pair pretty good value in my eyes and they come in 4 colours

purely coincidence on the logo lining up fella!!! Bitches to fit on tuffs those tyres, getting them seated evenly took me over an hour of pulling / pushing inflating / deflating.
And the green goes with the yet to be fitted decals, and the cables, although i have a set of orange ones for the front, just to mix it up a little!!

as promised in the other thread I'll follow up with a review of stodgy dave's rad clear pads once I pick them up from hutchman's
apparently they not only stop you but also provide an extra 30% of girth :daumenhoch:

gonna have to try that - but on chrome rims i bet it's gonna sound like a bat cave - lots of scretching like the NS stuff ;D

Im going to revise this thread as these started off well, the bedding in squeak stoppped and all was well, then it returned with a vengence, everywhere i went cats were trying to attack me thinking i was a mouse!! Fooking things are shocking, Ive tried towing them in, towing them out, buffing the surface, rubbing them on the dogs back, everything, the squeak is here to stay, which is a shame as they stop the truffs bang on, but jesus they moan about it.
Im going to stick them on regular wheels and see how they do on them
-
They'll squeal on any wheels dude, downside of clear pads... :(
