Post by: rick1970 on June 25, 2011, 07:59 PM
Hi folks ,finally got it looking something like finnished this is my 1984 GT pro race rider which is my second build and has taken longer than my first even tho this still needs alterations when funds permit. All of the parts have come from you lot apart from F+F , cranks and the shoit stem, up to now this stands me at roughly 400 quid which in my opinion isnt bad .Changes im gunner make in time are for red caged pedals, bar stem ,brake caliper for DC and with luck some GT og race bars .

anyway brief parts list so far..

84 GT pro frame set
ukai rims with suzue hubs
og comp3 tyres
new redline cranks
sugino spider + sprocket
chain new thingy
og Gt lay post
Jag shotgun 2 seat
seat clamp GT my favourite part
ame grips
caliper shoit copy
bar stem garbage
headset GT epoch chrome metal
Decal set by Del
bars hsin lung
and thanks to all who i bort these parts off  :daumenhoch:

anyway heres some pics  ;)

right i gonna moan, would prefer to see a 1 pc in it rather than a twin pinch, change the pedals for an older set, and bin that nasty seat clamp, thats the sort of tat costa would use, even a nice copy tuf neck would look better. bit of tweeking and it will be sweet  :daumenhoch:

Thanks for the comments folks  :daumenhoch: funnily enough i removed a sugino 84 opc for that RL crank ,well it is a rider as for the seat clamp thats staying put ,gunner change the pedals for red caged in time ,but what i dont like is the fat thin combo on the tyres the front 2.125 or what ever looks fookin quite large thats gotta go  :LolLolLolLol:

cheers Rick..

Rick, ride it round a track before you bin the front tyre, you might feel more confident with the big rubber up front, even though a thin / thin combo looks better :daumenhoch:

Anyway, that looks an absolute cracker mate, especially the saddle and I like the colour combo :coolsmiley:

I'm with ugly on the comment about the seat-post clamp though bud, try a black one to match your stem and keep the colour scheme going as black and red on chrome is lush :smitten:

Like it a lot bud :daumenhoch:

I know it's all about personal preference but it would look really nice with a straight seatpost in my eyes, Looking really nice though is that  :daumenhoch:

Working on a GT Pro myself at the minute, they are a lovely frameset  8)
