I just got one of these for my DP build, and like the other 2 headsets I have tried it doesn't fookin fit, threaded parts go on about 1/2 inch then gets tight, the original old headset fits a treat but it is not going back on as its past its best, threads on the forks are perfect, it must be a TPI issue :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: I am getting fed up now :(

Have you got another pair of forks to try the headset on?
-
Yes I tried the new headset on the Mrs fake Haro FST and it fits fine (its a early 90's diamondback) I can't understand it.

No I haven't, will strip it back down and give it a try, but still wont help with the DP :'(

But at least you will know its a tpi issue and not your forks :daumenhoch:

where did you get it from? I've just got 2 new ones and tried them on a few pairs of forks, work fine on all of them.

Its either a different tpi or the original could be cross threaded and so are your forks now, could you restore the original?
