right got this in a box of stuff from a mate - he doesn't know what it is - now i assume that it is a stem clamp ?
but just tried to put a stem inside it and it doesn't fit ?
so who knows what and how it is
which way up and what to do with it
is it a seat clamp instead ?
PEARL made
missing nut bolt
has a tiny screw to lock down
80's 90's ?
cheers B ;)

seatclamp to use a slightly smaller seatpost on???
-
Headlock/Stem reinforcer?
-
looks like its off a shop clothes display not a bike....
just my guess
-
looks like it would be more suited to drum set or microphone stand :2funny:

id say the clamp goes around a larger tube ,allowing a smaller tube to slide up and down the larger one and then to be locked off by the grub screw
-
who mentioned drumkits??
Pearl are one of the largest manufacturers!!!!
Question is, can bendy make it work?? I bet he can!!
-
Now this is an easy one bendy. It's part of a drum kit. I would say it's for a symbol stand. Pearl make drum kit me old mate. But u can fit it to ya burner if u want :LolLolLolLol:
-
I've just thought. If you do attach it to your burner for the next bike ride you could attach a high hat instead of having the siren! :2funny: give us a crash :LolLolLolLol:

So thats bendy's problem sorted, now how do i fit these super lightweight layback seatposts
bought a job lot so get dibbing

this came from a mates shed of bike parts, i had the bmx bits and saw this - i had seen a couple of seat clamp stem clamps types - so i thought it was one and tried it for size, it was too small so that was the first clue ;D but i thought i might as well ask you lot
to a drummer it is obvious ;D
cheers all :D

I wonder if its to use a standard size seat post in an origianl raleigh burner that had a larger diameter seat post
