Title: 2006 Sport with a Retro Flavour!
Post by: Stodgy on May 20, 2006, 07:43 AM
Had fun building up my new Sport last night...decided to give it a retro flavour as per the pic in the 1988 Haro brochure:

I've added:

- Uni Directional Chainring
- Haro Spider
- White Odyssey Gyro Cables
- Dominator Seat
- Haro Kneesavers (I have the sticker for these, just got to have painted yet)
- Ame Grips
- GT Tyres (these are changing to Haro whitewalls when they arrive!)

Here's the original from the 88 catalogue:

Hope you like! The colour is awesome in the flesh...can't quite capture it with a flash...

Thanks chaps - I doubt I'll ever ride it, got a better bike for that...but this one just looks pretty...

Ruler - not sure how I can sort the cables out? They are original 88 gyro cables and only came in one length...any ideas?

About 450lbs - nice light ride.  ;D

Seriously, I imagine around the 32lb mark...I'll get it on Fuzzy's scales soon and report back...

what is the spindle on the cranks like?

what width is the spindle?

It's slotted, and I imagine it's 19mm - I'll measure up later and let you know for sure.

Me too as I have a feeling it's going to be spendy (can't afford both).

You buggers.

I totally forgot about the new gen1 coming out.

Oh well, the Sport stays in the box and gets stored away in that case – ready for one of my boys to build it up.

I’ll also have to have a new gen1 sitting next to my original gen1 then if it’s the done thing.
