It has really nice geometry to it.
I think the bars are GT.
Some one must have a clue. :-\
-
No idea tbh, but i like it, so reckon its worth saving, the sticker on the bottom of the seattube, what does that say?
-
Serial number with a 00 maybe = 1990?
-
looks like my old chrome ammaco i had in about 96
-
Agoff just phoned me and said he thinks the pad is Haro.. :crazy2:

It says Function 4130 chromoly tubing.
-
Looks like an Ammaco to me. They did a Gt Performer looky likey in the 90's.
-
well i just sat and went throughj 54 pages of bikes manufactured from 90-93 and not a sausage, but it does steall many design features from a lot of the bikes in that era
-
Jaymz mate we can see it's not a sausage - look for a bike instead ;D
ask on usa museum as i thought some one else had some thing like that ;)

aw just spat cider over my screen :D :D :D
-
The frame looks like a General Hustler Fred Blood, which would put it mid to late 80's. According to The Museum the frames were made by Anlun, which might mean (as with a lot of other bikes) they were rebranded over here? Might be completely wrong though......... :D
-
Cheers Dan, i've put it on the Museum now to see if they know. :daumenhoch:

That'll be good, look forward to seeing them :daumenhoch:
The Museum bods are saying it's a Fred Blood though :-\ :-\
-
Does it have a coaster hanger and have the rear drop outs had the ends chopped off?
Tange forks?

No hanger, that's the bit that's confusing me. Everything else is spot on to the Fred Blood apart from that.
No also on the drop out's, they're untouched.
Not Tange forks that i can see at the moment. I haven't removed them anyhow to see any stamping on the steerer. I was told by the seller that they may be Puch forks.
-
Here it is, sorry i didn't have time to wipe it down and it's not as rusty as it looks in the pic's
TOOWOOMBA 360 , handbuilt in England :Great_Britain:

I'm guessing this is late 90's > early 00's even though it is 1" headset and no canti/v-brake mounts, very nice TIG welding (better than i've seen on some high-end frame sets)
-
Nice one, cheers mate.
Not too convinced on the year of it though :-\ but i will agree about your frame being exactly the same as the one above.

What age are you thinking then?
here's a link to a slightly later version or possibly a more modern version in the same range :-\ (different brace behind the seat tube and u-brake mounts but same decals). It maybe worth getting in contact with 'Cycle King' (the shop that supplied it) they maybe able to shed some light to it's origin ;)

Surprised you haven't dibbed the Mirage power disc yet Andy  :LolLolLolLol:

Hi Steve,
I'm not too sure mate but there is not a thing about the frameset that tells me it's new school :-\ :-\
It has a US BB, there are no cable guides nor AD mounts. Even the geometry of the frame makes it look old school. If that's what the frame makers were trying to do then they've done a fantastic job.
The owner of the bike had had it 9 yrs and done nothing to it, he bought it 2nd hand off someone else that must of fitted so many nice old school parts to it. It just a lot of work to fit old school parts to a new school bike so many years ago. :daumenhoch:

Hmmmm, i don't get on too well with the owner Joff, he's a bit of a dick.
can you PM him and ask to buy it mate ????
