Ok guys ive been struggling with this one for a bit.
I had planned this bike several different ways in my head , looked at every TA pic i could find on the net , asked advice from others but still wasnt sure what way i wanted  to do it .
Finally i decided i would build it using all black parts as i wanted to use my graphite Tuffs on it .
So just for a try yesterday i stuck on some blue spokey wheels to see how theyd look as id previously tried them on my white TA but didnt like the look BUT i loved them on the chrome   .
So today when i finished work i totally changed my build plans and went all blue and i really love it .     .    Its days like today that i really love about building bmx  ,  Work done , tunes up loud and parts all laid out then just change direction because it feels right lol.

				stunning  :smitten:

			-
Great Build mate, I love seeing Chrome TA's  :smitten:

			-
It looks very nice and blingy but for me I cannot ever see why you would put spokes on a Skyway.  Skyway frame... Skyway wheels, it just seems to go so well together for me.

			-
				MINTER  :4_17_5:

				noiccccccce  :daumenhoch:

I know exactly what your saying and that was my main stumbling block as I really wanted to use my graphite tuffs on it but when I put the spokes on I loved it so changed direction.

Don't think for one moment though that I do not like the bike, it really is stunning, just needs a set of graphite Tuffs and black Comp III tyres and it would be perfect.  I say that only because it is sat in the Race section and we didn't race with blue tyres.

			-
				lovely bike.
my fav old school bike.
but get some tuffs on it  8)

			-
WHat generation Graphites are they Neil ?  :smitten:  ???

			-
				That's stunning   :smitten:
A skyway can look  mint with spokes but better with tuffs IMO .  :daumenhoch:

			-

WHat generation Graphites are they Neil ?  :smitten:  ???
They are only the newer ones .  If theyd have been originals they'd have been on nomatter what . I did have a little trial fit.

Nice build  :daumenhoch:

			-
I think even with the newer Tuffs that you have it will look better, especially with the black Comp III's on.

			-
very nice indeedy!  but give us a picture with the new Tuffs on........go on, you know you want to  :daumenhoch:

Ok just cos you asked nicely .   I went out tonight and tried  some combos on but i still like the spokes lol. ;) ;D
With white alloy hub tuffs & haro tyres just cos they were sittin with tyres on already
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/c244/tierna2003/IMG_3138.jpg)
Took the blue haro tyres off n fitted some rainbow lablel black comp 3's
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/c244/tierna2003/IMG_3142.jpg)
Now the Graphite Tuffs with some rainbow label black comp 3's
 (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/c244/tierna2003/IMG_3145.jpg)
Then back on the spokeys again ;)
So there you go , you wanted tuffs , you got tuffs ;) ;D ;D.   opinions welcomed as always

Still a lovely bike no matter which wheels.
If you put the white skyways on it then personally I think it should be in the Freestyle section as racers didn't use white Skyways.
Black Skyway's look the part on the bike, especially with the black tyres, that is how the racers ran the bikes.

			-

Nice to see the different combos  :)
The Graphs or spokes look best for me personally  :daumenhoch:
Very nice  :coolsmiley:

			-
				Graphites  :daumenhoch:

			-
				Sean's bang on the money
Neil it does look lots better with the white Tuffs  than spokes ,,proper 80's freestyle  and era correct   :smitten: :4_17_5:
but for looks alone it has to be the black graphites , it's the best colour combo, all goes together so right   :4_17_5:

			-
no 1 choice would be the blue spokes...
a very close no 2 choice would be the black graph's...
then miles away in a third place would be the white skyways which kill it to me and makes the bike look cheap...
just my opinion... :daumenhoch:

			-
				White tuffs blue tyres.  :smitten:

			-
				they all look good
but me fave is with the black tuffs :daumenhoch:

i know you put the spokes back on but them black tuffs looked sooooooooooooooooooo right  8)

			-
Love it looks awesome , in all its different ups ! .. I had the same dilemma and couldn't decide between Tuffs or Spokes ..... but all the blue really goes together well , a quick Q what bars are you using ? they look mahossive  :)

			-
think you have got that just right mate. never been keen on spokes but that is cool

			-
Those graphites get my vote.  :daumenhoch:

			-
Run it how you want mate.
Forget "era" correct.  In that era we all swapped out parts like crazy.
Should be called "catalogue" correct.
Personally I would use the wheels made from metal ;)
