Title: pro neck stem polish? or leave it?
Post by: neil on July 13, 2011, 12:41 AM: ive just cleaned this up just wanted to know peoples ideas ,to me it looks good and will leave it got a few nicks in it but nothing bad so....
polish? or

Post by: oldtired on July 13, 2011, 01:19 AM: i like polished alloy used to polish all my stuff bitd still do now , but i have to agree with the above and say leave it, just tidy up the black bits, :daumenhoch: , thing is if you polish it and decide you don't like it the brushed finnish is quite tricky to restore and i believe is done before its annodised?

i think you can have a sweet looking show bike and have every thing detailed on it - nice polished items and all clean
you can also have a correct spec build and how it was back in the day

we see a lot of polished stems - most are because some have too many scratchs and ding's and of coruse we love a bit of bling ;D

that stem looks too good to polish and trying to get it back when the fashion changes will not be easy

I have a pro neck II but it has to be filled with alloy as it has cracks in the top part - then it will get a polish - unless any one has a top going spare ?
