Well guys, this is not going to built to factory spec, far from it. It is chrome and was powdered over the top. Powder was removed and the f+f polished :daumenhoch: It's not 100% percent but I not worry as I will be riding the shit out of it :2funny:
I will be building it in the 3 old school anno colours of Red, Blue and Gold (and some polished parts too, all my spare junk and more :LolLolLolLol: :daumenhoch: )
I have now fitted the old Tange headset from my Haro and Tange locking nut. Pics will be added as we go along so any input is cool :daumenhoch:
Cable runs through the potts mod, down the forks tube and out the left fork for a front freestyle caliper :coolsmiley:

Is that a cable hanger on the front of the head tube? Looks like it could take a centre front brake

Yes Jaymz :daumenhoch: Its the hanger for the rear brake. It comes through the stem into the ACS rotor then from the rotor through the hanger and down to the rear brake which is situated underneath the rear stays.
No brake bridge for a normal caliper :LolLolLolLol: It's kind of like a racer really. Only outer cable from the hanger to the adjuster on the bottom tube then inner cable only to the rear DC 750 calipe at the back :shocked: :LolLolLolLol:

No bro its's like whoever was welding it had a run off and when it was chromed it just highlights it a bit more :daumenhoch:
Just looks like a glich in the chrome when you get up close :coolsmiley:

Dia Compe 750 rear caliper (re-issue but hey, the only difference is the retaining nuts are allen key bolts, and the date) for under the frame fitment fitted :coolsmiley: :daumenhoch:

That is a super hot looking quirky (the way I like them) BMX. Really glad removing the paint revealed chrome - thats saved you a good £150!! Maybe more..

I got these babies for it :daumenhoch: Got to strip down, clean the rims, polish the sweet looking HF ACS gold anno hubs and relace with some S/Steel double butted HKS spokes :daumenhoch:
The gold nipples I have are a bit too much as I don't want it turning out just chrome/gold and yellow :LolLolLolLol: Any other colours that you guys have sitting around and don't need, I would be happy to donate some monies for them :daumenhoch: What you reckon ?? Blue ?? Red ?? I will let you decide :coolsmiley:

I'm really liking this Schwinn build , different :daumenhoch:and in a very good way
looks good with red tuffs too ;)
but not so sure about the pretzels,they are wacky , maybe they take presence away from the unique styled frame which is the main thing here :-\
,I'd change em for that reason ,,but tis your build and I'm sure you'll play around with a few ideas before you're totally happy anyways

it's always hard to know what will work best ?
i like the pretzel bars - but would like to see a side on and a slight rear shot to see if they look any different on the bike
HD is right about taking away from the frame - that why i asked if we can have a couple of different shots
not sure on mushy's (sorry not a big fan of them) just was wondering if any thing else would fit the bill
sorry it seems as we are tearing down yer bike mate - i guess it's just what and how each of us would do it ;D sorry
but frame is focal point ;)

I got offered some B1-B's, yellow over red but I think as I'm gonna ride it, they were a bit costly :-\ So I might, if I can, obtain some yellow over red Fuan's :-\
As the rims will be yellow, I think they will contrast really well.
The bars are as whacky as the frame though and I think they blend in well :daumenhoch: (don't they Costa :LolLolLolLol: )

I wanted some B-1B's in blue and yellow - pricey ::) or just missed out :tickedoff:
i got a couple of copys in blue/grey on here and really like them - change the outer skins for oakley yellow orginals and it fit like a glove (basted getting them on - but four teaspoons and soap later it worked ;D)
£20 for the pair and £15 on the skins - 8)

Been watching this build from afar Tel, I font like Schwinns and I certainly dong like Pretzel bars but I have to admit that it is coming together very very nicely, I am really surprised and it's great to see other peoples ideas and opinions come to life.

I got Gold SX to go on Bendy first, see how they look and it's only having a back brake :LolLolLolLol:
I just picked up some minty, unused, polished Tech 6 locking levers from the museum for $28 posted to me (£16) :coolsmiley:
Left hand (rear) Tech 6 lever, polished, red lever grip (or Yellow if someone has an orphan) with polished DC 750 caliper and a Yellow DC rear cable.
The outer cable only goes to the adjuster on the downtube, then it's just the inner to the caliper :daumenhoch:

Oh, and I have ordered some Red Comp III's, 20 X 1.75 from my buddies over the pond too, instead of the Panaracers :LolLolLolLol:
