I have on order from a list memeber this "Skyway T/A" (aka a Burner):
http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=129416.0 (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=129416.0)
Im doing it up for my 11 year old daugher and my question is: for the decals, how gay should I go?
Option 1 - Gay (my future bike with some Paint Shop editing)
Option 2 - Very Gay (BMX Museum bike)
I guess the question is: do I keep the SKYWAY lettering in the original blue or go all pink? Obviously the rest of the bike's colours will be inline with the decals/bike theme.
Thoughts?

I would take it back to being a burner in all honesty, here's some for inspiration, if i can find it its also been done in a punk colour scheme but i cant seem to get onto burnerworld right now
These are [or were] owned & built by Julian Taff who owns the biggest burner collection

If you are getting the decals redone can't you work your daughters name into the decals.. like Norty40's 'Olsgoose'...
but don't make it a Burner again... unless you REALLY hate her :daumenhoch:
-
Im guessing this bike will eventually come back to you to do with what you want, but in the mean time why not ask your little girl to design her own colour scheme im sure she would love that with a few guided tweeks of course :LolLolLolLol: :daumenhoch:
-
its her bike Man, let her decide, my Ella has a GT, in purple clear coat, mint green tyres, normal green other bits, its fookin rank, i've offered new paint, tuffs, and tyres, i.e. let daddy build the bike, NO, she likes it as it is.... she will learn..., i'm gonna build her a turquoise and white POS for Xmas,
anyway, let her have input, then build it like you want, thats what we do!!!
-
Good idea rick
try this http://bmxcolor.narod.ru/
albeit its a new school bike, but you can let her choose the individual colour of all the parts then screen shot it and build it to her spec

100% spot on :daumenhoch: You have to let her design it as it will keep the flame alive for her and she will love riding it as it will be TOTALLY her bike :coolsmiley: Build, design, colour, the lot ;) She will love you more and will want it more doing it her way :daumenhoch: It will give her confidence, inspiration, and something better than watching telly to do too bro and when she don't want it anymore you can do with it like most normal burner owners did :-\
Chuck it int river :2funny: :2funny: :2funny:

Customised with her name as Joff has already perfectly executed :coolsmiley:
or definately Burner decs as that's what the bikeis and not a T/A ,, I really don't like Fake T/A's GT's ,Laserlite ,E.T's :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

Nice looking bike but a bit of a fail using coaster tuffs as the T/A didn't have a coaster tab so the arm is attached to fresh air. :crazy2:
-
Pink & White, and yeah, if you can incorporate her name into it then it will be a well cool touch.

Wow - lots of votes for all pink. Im surprised as my preference is still with the Pink/Blue combo which no one has voted for. btw, my wife also says all pink, but she's a girl..
Its a lovely idea to let her customize it but I want it to be a surprise present for her. Im not ruling it out but she would have to customize it from the pictures now so I can get the bits in ready (the summer is quickly running out on us).
Im going to have to think about this.. I WILL be ordering decals this weekend so gotta think fast..
Really appreciate all your, mainly metrosexual, views.. :)
thanks all,
Paul
