Title: how much to send a bike to the USA?

Depends on which service you want, but you would be looking between £70 - £150 I should think.

I think getting the package as small as possible helps a bit more than weight  :daumenhoch:

Correct, it goes on volumetric weight rather than actual, so in theory an empty large cardboard box will cost you more than something smaller but very heavy. If you get it under a ton I think you're doing well. I was quoted £250 to oz!
