Looking at my DP and have looked at the others on here and i can't decide which looks better ? a one piece crank or a 3pc - now the feelings are that it was a cheaper fame, and so not always top parts put on it - when looking back, you see a lot with opc - I wanted mine to have a freestyle look and this is where i'm stuck
so org look for what kids had back in the day -OPC - or a 3 piece crank like a redline ?
cheers B ;)

defo one peice.if you were going three peice bitd like fights then i doubt youd be riding a dp :-\
-
Tis a quandry. I remember bitd we all had one piece cranks but longed for a 3. So the question is, do you build as you would've had it bitd or build it as you would've wanted it bitd. I know that I always side with the 3 piece look regardless. Even if its not era correct, hence my goose has chrome DB cranks on it! They just look more purposeful than a little opc imo
-
A nice 1 piece from me.......just looks right :daumenhoch:
-
Remember GL running a Profile 3 piece bitd , apart from him all others I saw were OPC ;)
-
huan pees

3 piece are nicer although not neccesaraly correct.
-
OPC, probably sugino as loads were put together with parts raped from Burners.
-
1 piece all the way ;) Most of my MRD's r on them ;) had flights but sold them and replaced them with high spec 1 pieces :daumenhoch:
-
now i have this same problem on my current 84 master build. it currently has a survivor one piece. but i have a pair of redline 401 single pinch full raps that i could put on. now i only rode with a one piece on the two burners i had. every other bmx had 3 piece. im not a fan of 1 piece cranks thats why i shelled out the money for 3 piece ones back in the day. a bloody lot of papers had to be delivered! :LolLolLolLol: now im undecided if i should fit the 3 piece cranks. well 90% of me says yes and 1% says no the other 8% is undecided :daumenhoch: stick on the 3 piece my son. let it be a bit different to all the others. trust me it wont look wrong.

Let's be honest, we only had opc's as we couldn't afford 3pc's bitd.
I love my 3pc's and would always use one on a build I'm gonna ride... So that's everything then!
A opc looks good if building a repo of your original bike but it's your bike so who cares what we all think at the end of the day ;-)

1 piece if you are not going mad or 3 piece if you are spending a bit , maxy cross are nice i got a really nice one for 75 with bb and its era correct as well, i'd rather have a 1 piece than a later twin pinch redline one,
-
I would go with a one piece, they just look better on freestyle bikes imo.
