Rich
-

c = chatsworth (California)

0 = 1980

If it's a Supergoose, it will have 3 holes on the brake bridge ;)
Or look like this ....

-
lol @ gmac
rich if it has early flat rear drop outs then it will have a T in the cyril - so yours will be a regular goose
if its the later model with stepped and drilled rear drops then it will have the 3 hole bridge
welcome to the goose owners club
-
cool , cheers guys , so its a normal goose 1980 nickel
right who has forks and decals
Rich
-
Try user ID: vintagebmx on ebay US or Ginni's for the decals
-
yeah use the VBMX ones as they are pukka approved jobs
ebay or direct from BC @ VBMX
ginis i have heard mixed reports about >:(
-
Kev , which are the correct ones , the prism or the flat chrome ones ?
Rich
-
Tange forks are available from Alan's, or if you want Astublua's, they come up fairly often on the bay.
-
Rich i think the flat ones are correct for your frame
loads of info here about correct placement & orientation etc

i saw a original prisim set of super goose decals on UK ebay went for £107 the other day
think my mate brought some for his puch BITD for £6 :D
-
buy the goose decals from bill curtin
they are the only ones to get. the knock off prism ones are often very poor quality
get the tange forks too with the pinched dropouts. they will suit it good.
-
he has motomag decals on the bay , are these the same as 1980 mongoose decals just dont use the motomag one ?
Rich
-
yep
and on the 1980 the mongoose sticker goes on the toptube
-
And also that decal has to have the orange bar/stripe at the end
to face a certain direction too, don't ask me which way though as i can't remb
and have yet to buy any decals for mine (tut tut)
check that VBMX thread its all there some where
exact location of decals on frame etc .....
-
it goes to opposite to how mine is fitted:

;)
-
that setee is very clean
-
its not you know
just cant seem to get it clean. any ideas?
-
Kev , how about the goose cats from the early 80s to give me some ideas !
I have got the decals and forks coming ( Yay) the tange ones seemed more UK than the astabulas so went for them
we shall see tonight what the paint hides , and if its going to be a nickel or painted frame lol
-
i have a mongoose stamped snowflake chainring that i would sell, if you are interested.
-
Sounding good already Rich
have a look over on VBMX in the museum under parts
